30 for 30 logoIn celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Phillip H. Lowe Performing Arts Series, Hill College has launched a year-long fundraising campaign, “30 for 30,” to support the future of programming for the series.

The goal of the fundraising campaign is to raise $30,000 through memberships and donations before the end of 2024 in celebration of the 30 years the Performing Arts Series (PAS) has been providing quality performances for the community.

“The gifts that we receive each year from our faithful supporters, both at Hill College and the surrounding communities, enable us to cover expenses for each academic year's performers. The “30 for 30” campaign will enable us to secure quality acts for future years by paying booking fees that current funds cannot cover, perpetuating Mr. Lowe's vision for the series,” said Larry McCord, coordinator of visual and performing arts and instructor of music.

The Performing Arts Series presented its first season of concerts in the 1993–1994 academic year at the Hill County Campus. Phillip H. Lowe, former band director and coordinator of visual and performing arts program at Hill College, organized the series with the help of then-president Dr. William Auvenshine, with the idea that it would be free to the public and that funds would be raised through donations from the community and arts, music, and theater supporters. Over the last 30 years, the series has grown into one of the college’s most popular programs.

Become a member of the Phillip H. Lowe Performing Arts Series and support the “30 for 30” campaign. Membership levels include: BENEFACTOR ($100), a SUSTAINER ($50), a PATRON ($25), or a SUPPORTER ($10) of the Hill College Performing Arts Series. For a donation of $1,000 or more you can become a LIFETIME BENEFACTOR. Names of donors appear in each program.

All supporting donations are charitable contributions. Your donation can be made by visiting https://myhc.hillcollege.edu/ICS/Arts_Series%27_30th_Anniversary.jnz., calling 254.659.7707, or mailing a check or money order to:
